Olive oil flavour taralli pugliesi from the Apulia region are fragrant and flavourful; they are exquisite with cold cuts and cheese or alone as delicious snacks. They are probably the most popular Apulian specialty, but they can complement any typical delicacy from all over Italy. We, for instance, absolutely love them with Mortadella from Modena or Soprassata cold cut from Tuscany.
Taralli crackers are exclusively handmade following the family original recipe. Very few simple and local ingredients are used: water, flour from the “Tavoliere delle Puglie” – a plain in Northern Apulia -, Apulian extra virgin olive oil and white wine. These delightful savoury snacks are completely free from preservatives.
We fell in love with them, because they are incredibly crunchy and crumbly – an absolute must for the best Italian taralli.
